At 0106 on Sunday 9 December the train will make its final call at King's Cross Thameslink before the station becomes a London Underground only station. Then on Sunday 9 December at 0912 this train will form part of the inaugural First Capital Connect train to call at St Pancras International.

Catherine Cassidy Chair of the Hassocks Amenity Association Rail Group said: "We were delighted to be part of the naming ceremony at Brighton. Kin's Cross Thameslink station has served us well, but it is time for a change to a station that is totally accessible and able to deal with increasing numbers of customers, many with luggage and heavy bags. We are delighted that there will be a direct link to St Pancras, and beyond into Europe."

"I was delighted to name the train at Brighton station yesterday to mark the last few days of First Capital Connect calling at that station," said Karen Boswell. "It is a weekend of good news for our customers on the Thameslink route, with the opening of St Pancras and many timetable improvements in response to direct customer feedback. We hope our customers soon notice the changes we have made."

· 0840 Bedford to Brighton
· 1623 Wimbledon to Bedford

· 1507 Brighton to Bedford

An additional service, the 1535 Bedford to Wimbledon service and on Friday and Saturday evenings 2359 Haywards Heath to Bedford will now start from Brighton, calling at all stations to Haywards Heath.

"Our customers Sunday services to and from Sutton will also be improved, we are diverting a number of our services to Sutton and Wimbledon on Sundays in direct response to customer feedback," added Karen Boswell, Customer Services Director.

To ensure customers are fully aware of the changes to the timetable, new timetables are available at all stations, online and customers can also register to have their timetable emailed to them.
